She/Her/Hers

“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore, trust the physician and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.”

– Khalil Gibran

As a Licensed Social Worker, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and culturally sensitive therapy to individuals of all backgrounds. As a proud Black Muslim Woman, I bring a unique and valuable perspective to my practice, profoundly understanding the intersections of race, gender, and mental health. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations, including children and individuals from marginalized communities. I specialize in trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. My client-centered approach utilizes evidence-based, age-appropriate practices such as Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.

I believe in the transformative power of facing and understanding one’s pain as a part of the healing process, breaking down barriers to self-awareness and more profound understanding. In therapeutic practice, I encourage clients to trust their inherent ability to heal, embrace their pain as a transformative force, and approach their healing journey with patience and tranquility. I actively listen to my clients’ narratives, fostering a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth. I am passionate about empowering my clients to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals.

I received my Bachelor’s in History and African American Studies from Rowan University. I earned my Master of Social Work from Widener University, where I continue my studies as a Ph.D. Student. I am committed to lifelong learning and professional development, continuously enhancing my skills to serve my clients better.

I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, and adding colorful stamps to my passport in my free time! I look forward to meeting with you in my office in Voorhees or online from the comfort of your space!
