A Training for Clinicians on Navigating Learning about Stage 1 and Stage 2 Trauma Treatment

Join us for this training led by Clinical Lead Kris Bendinelli, LPC, DBT-LBC that's designed to assist clinicians in identifying symptoms of trauma, learn about how trauma may manifest in clients, and give tools to utilize when stabilizing trauma symptoms.
This workshop is for you if:
- Are a therapist without specialized trauma training.
- Find trauma clients challenging and need effective strategies.
- Want to master the differences between stage 1 and stage 2 trauma treatment.
- Aim to acquire skills to stabilize trauma symptoms.
- Wish to improve your ability to assess trauma symptoms.
- Want practical tools and techniques for stabilization.
Upon completion of this workshop, clinicians will be able to:
- Conceptualize stage 1 vs. stage 2 trauma treatment.
- Know the three categories of grounding skills.
- Assess trauma symptoms (intrusive, avoidance, hyperarousal, hypoarousal).
- Determine if someone is in or out of their window of tolerance.
- Apply basics of exposure therapy and prepare an exposure hierarchy with a client.

- You aim to establish stronger rapport between group leaders and members, as well as among members.
Upon completion of this workshop, clinicians will be able to:
- Identify contributing factors for burnout/frustration points for facilitating groups.
- Apply specific interventions to improve group participation in the short term.
- Utilize group activities that will improve group cohesion in the long term.
