From an agency to private practice — such a different ball game!

Tons of support, working with people that are passionate about therapy and are eager to keep growing. Flexibility, great pay, delicious snacks, training opportunities…did I mention the snacks?

In all seriousness though, after my experience with DBT of SJ, it would be extremely difficult to convince me to go back to agency life

You build quicker than you think. It’s also more consistent than you think! When I left my other job, I was worried about consistently making enough. But you do, I’ve never been short and there are always intakes. Our marketing is bomb.

This is so much less stress than in agency life, and you don’t have to jump through corporate hoops. The flexibility to see doctors or make personal appointments is cool too.

DBT OF SJ is so different from agency work. You matter as a person; you are not a number to get billable hours. PTO, health benefits, education opportunities are a plus.

Even though it’s private practice, you are never alone and have a full team to offer support.

We are never low on clients coming in.

My favorite part is how beautiful our office space is! I love being there and showing it off to our clients!

We do have so much fun!

The short term stress of building leveled out for me quickly.

And it was so worth it.

Flexibility is 10/10

My experience was unique in some ways since I started when DBT of SJ was a wee baby!

That being said, it was all worth it!

The kind of support that is offered is unmatched, there is so much flexibility to manage all of the other demands of life, the team is a beautiful community and overall work culture is based in values and intentionality. Also, we do have fun. Take the leap!

I love so many things about working here:
It’s independent and also very interdependent. There is always someone to talk to and there is good communication within the team.
I never feel left out – the team makes a great effort to be sure all are included.
The support staff are awesome, especially Savoy!
I feel proud to be part of this team and all of the opportunities that are offered to me here
