“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” -Vivian Greene
Have you ever been ready to rush out the door ready to seize the day, only to be stopped in your tracks by a torrential downpour? The grayness of the clouds and the puddles forming on the ground seem to shout “Not today, go back inside” – but there is so much that needs to be done! Career, school, relationships, self-care…the list seems endless, but you can’t fathom going out in the rain. I chose this quote as life is often filled with many “storms” that make it tempting for us to stay inside and allow them to pass. The good news is that therapy is a lot like getting a raincoat and boots. You will still get wet, and yet you’ll come to realize that you can handle being outside. Now I have to be honest – I’m not known for my dance moves (I may refer you to a reputable dance studio). But on your therapeutic journey, I am more than happy to join you on that rainy stroll.
I have known that I wanted to be a helping professional since my childhood. I received a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Saint Joseph’s University and a Master’s in Professional Clinical Counseling from La Salle University. I have clinical experience working at residential inpatient facilities, substance abuse/detox treatment centers, and non-profit community mental health agencies. I have worked with a variety of client populations seeking mental health support in the areas of depression, anxiety, relational trauma, loss, PTSD, and anger management. At this time, I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the State of New Jersey pursuing licensure as a full-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I received my DBT training in 2022 from Shaelene Lauriano, DBT-LBC and Kathryn Patrick, DBT-LBC.
I love everything about being a mental health counselor. It pushes me to grow professionally, and personally – all because I am committed to helping you. I am here to help you find meaning in your life and navigate its struggles along the way. It is my hope that you can trust the courage it took to just click on this page and consider your next step in treatment.
If you don’t catch me at work, you will likely find me scouring the internet with my partner for the next new restaurant to try in South Jersey. I am a HUGE video game fan and am no stranger to fantasy and sci-fi media. Also, feel free to ask me about anime suggestions!
